Welcome to Ink and Avians! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services. By accessing this website and using our services, you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Ink and Avians' website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
Our contract with you
At Ink and Avians, we are dedicated to crafting bespoke stories and unique illustrations for your personalised children's book. Our process is highly collaborative, ensuring your child's story is truly one of a kind. We require your full commitment throughout this creative journey.
Once we have developed your main character and a summary of the story, and you have formally accepted these drafts, our contract is officially established. At this point, full payment for the book is required. Due to the highly individualised nature of our books and the extensive creative process involved, all sales are final. Therefore, no refunds will be issued once the book has been ordered and our team begins the creation process.
Unfortunately, due to the intricate and personalised nature of our book creation process, we are unable to accommodate changes once you have agreed upon the lead character and the story summary. We encourage you to carefully review all drafts and provide your feedback before this stage.

Returns and refunds policy
As each InkandAvians book is a unique, bespoke creation tailored specifically to your child, we do not offer returns or refunds once the contractual agreement has been entered into and the creation process has begun. This is due to the personalised nature of our products, which cannot be resold or reused.
We are confident in the quality and uniqueness of our personalised books. However, if you receive a book that is damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at info@inkandavians.com . We will assess the issue and, if deemed a defect in production, we will arrange for a replacement to be sent to you at no additional cost. This policy does not cover issues arising from customer-approved drafts or personal preferences once the creation process has been finalised.
Protection of personal details and stories
At Ink and Avians, we understand the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of the personal details and stories you share with us. We are committed to protecting your information with the highest standards of security and confidentiality.
All personal data, including details about your child and the unique story elements you provide, are collected and stored securely. We adhere to strict data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the United Kingdom. Your information will only be used for the purpose of creating your personalised book and will not be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent.
The stories created for your child are treated with the utmost respect for privacy. We ensure that these unique narratives remain confidential and are only accessible by the Ink and Avians team members directly involved in the creation process.
Copyright of unique stories and illustrations
The unique stories and illustrations created for your personalised book by Ink and Avians are original works of authorship. As such, the copyright for these bespoke narratives and accompanying artwork remains with Ink and Avians.
Upon purchase, you are granted a licence for personal, non-commercial use of the personalised book. This means you are welcome to enjoy the story with your child, share it with family and friends, and cherish it as a treasured keepsake. However, this licence does not permit reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of the book's content, including the text and illustrations, without explicit written permission from Ink and Avians.
